tmf rollback — Restore Config

Description

tmf rollback restores a supported application's configuration from its .bak backup file. When switching a provider or model causes issues, this command offers a quick way to revert to the previous stable configuration.

Syntax

bash
tmf rollback [options]

Options

OptionDescription
-a, --app <app>Target application: codex, claude-code (aliases: claude, cc), openclaw, opencode, hermes, pi

Examples

bash
# Restore Claude Code's configuration
tmf rollback --app claude-code
bash
# Restore Codex's configuration
tmf rollback --app codex
bash
# Restore OpenClaw's configuration
tmf rollback --app openclaw

Example output:

✅ claude-code config restored to backup version. Please restart the application.

Notes

  • The rollback operation is irreversible — verify the target application before proceeding.
  • If the target application has no .bak backup, it is skipped with a warning.
  • It is recommended to run tmf test after switching providers to confirm everything works and avoid unnecessary rollbacks.
  • After a rollback, you can use tmf use to switch the configuration again.
